From Humble Beginnings
In
1995, Accretia Products started production in a small rented facility
in Paducah, Kentucky, developing silkscreen products for several tile
manufacturers. As the tile industry expressed needs for more advanced
screen products, Accretia Products invested in the technology and expertise
to meet industry demands. Accretia has constantly remained one step ahead
of changing trends in the tile industry. These goals of constant improvement
led Accretia to discover the demand for specialty tile cutting services
and assembly. Growth gave Accretia the ability to invest in a permanent
location and new equipment.
Rebuilding and Improving
In June of 2005, a devastating fire presented Accretia with the seemingly
insurmountable challenge of completely rebuilding their facility. All
of Accretia's employees pulled together and re-established the company
in a larger plant in Clarksville, Tennessee. With the rebirth of Accretia
came the opportunity to re-invest in more technology and machinery. Accretia
was able to develop a wide variety of products ranging from custom medallions,
tile profiling, 3rd fire deco, and to expand sales to manufacturers, individual
customers, designers, and tile distributors. In addition, Accretia added
an in-house design team to create a wider variety of catalogue pieces
and to provide customers with designing services.
Looking
Forward
At the end of 2006, Accretia began to search for a larger plant to house
their growing tile manufacturer services. Accretia was pleased to quickly
find a much larger facility in Elkton, Kentucky, formerly known as Flynn
Enterprises, that could be home to all of Accretia. This is especially
exciting because the building contains over 90,000 square feet of office,
production, and storage space. Accretia currently has over sixty-five
employees, and the expansion is expected to initially create approximately
thirty additional new jobs. Accretia is looking forward to the completed
move in Sept 2007. Roger James, founder and CEO of Accretia, said, "We
are very excited about the opportunity to expand our operations in Elkton.
This is a tremendous community of hard working, conscientious people,
and we look forward to welcoming more of them into the Accretia family."
